PETE, is a full time visual artist in the field of Painting and Photography, an architect by discipline and an alumnus of Mapua Institute of Technoloy class 1978. Born in “Yogad” speaking town of Echague, Isabela in 1954. A self taught artist, as well as a musician in the 70’s.
Active with– The Angono Ateliers and Tuesday Group. Pete was ateliers past president in 1987.
After a long and successful professional stint overseas, he continued refining his skills in painting and photography. He travels the countryside on 2 wheels with camera gears, mastering his chosen art forms, continuously looking for inspiration and subjects to paint.
Pete’s 1st-one Man Show “TRANQUILLA” was a successful exhibit at Sining Kamalig, which he displayed vast experience in creating tranquil landscapes done in delicate and quality mediums – Watercolors, pigment ink and pen and ink. Pete has joined several art group shows with popular names of artists nationwide.
His notable works are Philippine Colonnial Churches of national heritage intricately done in metal etching or pen and ink which are available affordably.
Pete is mastering the art of acrylic in preparation for his 2nd One-Man-Show to be launched in 2016 dubbed “Imaginative Figurisms” that evokes filipino culture and family traditions in striking bold and sweeping colors that catch the viewers eye, not anymore in the eyes of the beholder but for everyone.
